DFMA stands for Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. DFMA is designed to ensure product design at lower cost, shorter time and higher quality by improving product manufacturability and assimilability on the premise of taking product functionality, appearance and reliability into consideration.
Manufacturability refers to the ability of a part to be manufactured at a lower cost and higher quality. If the manufacturability of a part is high, then it means that the part meets the design requirements of the manufacturing process, it is easy to manufacture, the manufacturing efficiency is high, cost is low, defects are few, and quality is high.
Assemblability refers to the ability of a product to be assembled at a lower cost and higher quality. The high assemblability of a product indicates that the design of the product satisfies the design requirements of the assembly process. The product is easy to assemble, has high assembly efficiency, low assembly failure rate and assembly cost, and high assembly quality
The core of applying DFMA during product development is “design fully considering manufacturing requirements.” and “doing things right at the first time.” Then it could reduce the design modification times at beginning.

Technical issue: Part have a shrinkage risk at red pointed area, we suggest that add 2x grooves on core side to weaken the defects.
Technical issue: Pointed groove is too narrow, which will let mold structure don’t have enough strength, we suggest that enlarge them to 1.5mm to weaken the defects.
Technical issue: 4x kiss-off positions don't have draft angle, which will decrease the mold's lifecycle, we suggest that add draft angle for them as showed as proposal.
Technical issue: Part can hang up in right angle, we suggest the slope instead of right angle to let the part fall into the place.
